2013-04-25 Another beaut day. Met Jean, Barbara, Sue, Malcolm and Ken at Circular Quay and joined them for a ferry trip to Cockatoo Island where we had a picnic before exploring. Later went by water taxi to Malcolm and Barbara’s very swish apartment at the Balmain marina. Sipped G & T’s and champagne as the sun set over the harbour. Fantastic BBQ and more wine before returning back to our flat by bus. Had a short sleep before …

2013-04-25 … rising at 03.10 and joining the throng heading for the city on ANZAC day to attend a very moving dawn service in Martin Place. After the service we joined Jean for breakfast and a stroll around The Rocks district. At 9.00a.m. The parade commenced and we watched representatives of ย military associations, RAN, army and airforce. March past. At 10.00 we met Susan and her two boys for coffee and another walk and “catch-up”. We will be sorry to leave Oz and our friends on Sunday but we are ready to return to normal living in our own home.
